Review by Kevin Winn

Transmigration is the seventh studio album by the experimental music duo Voice Of Eye. It was released on November 9, 2018, and features nine tracks of ambient soundscapes and experimental compositions.

The album starts off with "Transmigration," a hauntingly beautiful track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The duo's use of various instruments and sound effects creates a dreamlike atmosphere that is both otherworldly and captivating.

The album continues on with tracks like "Reverie," "Invisible Landscape," and "The Veil," which all showcase the duo's ability to create complex and intricate soundscapes that transport the listener to another world.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Chimera," which features the haunting vocals of guest artist Tara Vanflower. Her voice adds another layer of depth and emotion to the already haunting track, making it one of the most memorable on the album.

About Voice Of Eye

Voice Of Eye is the duo of Bonnie McNairn and Jim Wilson who began working together when Bonnie joined the avantgarde ensemble based in Houston (Texas). After left Cruor, the other members continued on as the noise/industrial combo , eventually paring down to Bonnie and Jim who then changed the name to Voice Of Eye. In the early 1990s, they collaborated with Ure Thrall's project and recorded and performed as part of the short lived ensemble . Relocating from Texas to rural New Mexico, the duo began to incorporate building an 'earthship' and holistically living with the land as part of their overall artistic work. Voice Of Eye's specialty is "organic sound sculpting": a form of electronic ethnic ambient music that relies mainly on electronic drones and manipulated instruments (often invented and built by Jim Wilson.)

One other thing! Can you give me the title of ALL your releases to make it easier for me to track them down? I think there's another group using your name and this will make it much easier for me to sort out---- also if there's a single source where I can purchase your cd's or downloads---?--- Thanks!

I'm curious, you don't provide a lot of context here-- You're talking about this new music that you've discovered and I get that but prior to this discovery what was your background in Music?-- Classical or other? I'm just discovering Voice of Eye and I like all that I've heard quite a bit--- it's a welcome rest from what I've been listening to and playing as well--- Another question, this was a long time ago, are you still producing music? I'll do some research now that I've discovered you.
This woman is beautiful in every sense of the term. I bought a Troum album on Discogs and, through some mix up, I ended up with a Voice of Eye double. The very definition of a happy accident. Don’t mean to be a chauvinist pig and all that, but such a combination of brains and beauty (to say nothing of your gloriously whacked music) has made me a lifetime Voice of Eye fan. If you guys play Boston anytime soon, let me know. I will be the perfect gentleman. Besides I have too many music questions I want to ask you which should keep me from stammering like a dolt.

These guys are my personal heroes. Although nowadays it seems like everyone can create a boring virtual-synth-drone track and tag it "dark ambient
